Will be taking part in this show. Unfortunately I will not be attending the opening as i'll be packing my life into little boxes for the move to Brighton on Monday. "Found" Exhibition

Off the success of the "Caught" show, we where invited up to the 42 Brigate gallery to do a 2 day instillation, live paint and exhibit. It was a great few days, lots of people bustling in and out, live skiffle band and interpretive dancers and other randomness. I produced 4 new pieces for the show and painted a large piece on the wall. Thank you to the people at Testspace and 42 Brigate for putting us on and making it so much fun!

Caught Exhibition

The Best joined up artists recently held a show entitled "Caught". It was an expo of some of the work we have accumulated from doing 4 years of live events, as well as new paintings from some of our favourite people, including 5 new 40 inch big pieces by me. It was held at the Temple works in Leeds, a massive building which is an exact duplicate of the Temple of Horus in Egypt.....
It was a great opening night, and run how i feel a show should be: awesome work on walls, a friendly welcome, beers in bins full of ice, snacks, great tunes (played out of a caravan i painted for east Leeds FM) and plenty of random happenings such as cars getting painted outside the venue...
It was a pleasure to show what we've been doing, and to chat to people who traveled up to check it out. A big thanks go out to Bodie who had a breakdown pulling it off, but it looked awesome.

Solo show and generalnes

Hey guys, long time since i last posted. Been moving house and getting ready For the solo show over in Manchester (poster below, it seems to cut for some reason, check the better on on flickr). When the new sites up there will be loads of new work, I did some customised boxes for don't panic which turned out pretty cool, I'm gonna get out and do more walls i think up to the show so i get a break from constantly doing characters. Best Joined up returns on Friday the 13th of Feb! and given the date it's gonna be horror themes, so expect spilled ink, drips and b-movie horror posters galore! So anyways, to bed ahoy!

Web Madness and updates

Hello and welcome back. you probably noticed the absense of the site for a month, well adept went bust who are my web providers, and instead of being nice and letting us know, they disappeared and left a month of fighting for the domain and space, and also my official email to colapse. joy. But looks like my beautiful sequined web monkey lover boy has fixed it all like the talented sex pot he is. So apologies to unanswered emails, i don't blank anyone, i try get back to 100% of all messages, but i never got them.
Updates on the art front well.... I went to Barcelona and painted out there and generally met everyone you could wish to meet. I dislocated my left elbow so im in a lengthy recovery for that, it was the best/worst dislocation the hospital had seen aparently so go me!
Exhibitions, i've had 2 whilst the site has been down, at map gallery and at The fav gallery. I have a solo show entitled "Everything is cold except you" opening on the 9th of feb 09 in Manchester at odd bar, which will be absolute madness if i've anything to do with it .
Many live nights have come and gone, many pieces have been painted all over , ink and paint has been spilled everywhere .
Press, well seems people want to know about me for some reason, i've had alot of features and interviews this past few months, including computer arts which is another feather in the cap i suppose, so im really stoked about all that.
Tonight i will be working on some customisation for don't panic.
yada yada, forever and ever, loads of fun stuff going on, theres a new site under construction by the ever amzing magician paul at long walk home, so there won't be updates to the site, so hit those links if you like your art fresh, not been sat on a shelf for months.

i think i cursed it by saying 100% for barcelona, as now it looks like it's been cancelled. Think i'll still be taking the opportunity to go out anyway, i'm totally owed a break. But there is talk of shows in Lisbon Portugal and Sydney Australia, but as ever we'll have to see how it plays out.
As usual i've been working like a mad fool, my lungs are full of paint fumes, my body stained from ink, and my stomach emulsion, a lesson learnt, do not put pittas and dip next to emulsion whilst youre engrossed in painting. badness. but many plans coming up, more on a personal level, but still taking commisions. May have a screen printer coming which will open up alot of new windows of opportunity, for nice art prints, clothes bags, allsorts.
I pulled from the manchester show due to illness and time, so to any one who may have come down to see my stuff, i apologise, but i'm sure i'll do something over that way soon.
I'll be live drawing, and drinking at best joined up leeds on the 26th of september, it's going into year 2 and after a year of it, and the summer touring with it, i'm really looking forward to it coming back home, bigger, better, more vulgure, so hope to see some people there.

Subism was muchos fun, so thanks to everyone down there especially stu from subism and his lovely girlfriend for putting us up. I will be painting at Fresh jive at the elbow rooms in leeds on the 13th of september, for a breakdance night, and the day after is the opening of the counter culture collective and roadkill records exhibition in manchester, and very kindly i was invited to take part. so i'll be in the shop drawing on things and hanging canvas.
Best joined up goes into year2 in leeds after a summer of travel and painting at the festies, we're back on home turf. thats at teh Faversham so don't miss that goodness. More dates for best joined up are confirmed all the way up to christmas, but i'll say nearer the time.
Website looks to be a bit updated, so thanks paul ^___^ so yeah new things to look at in most sections.
Looks like we're 100% on the Barcelona exhibition so that gives me an excuse fo a bit of a holiday! think thre's 18 UK artists and illustrators taken part and maybe staying together , so i'm sure it will be shenanigans galore ha ha ! plus get to take charley and paul out too!

Hey guys and gals, been a long time!
As usual insane. The massive mural for Natel plus was finished, had a fun time playing on some scaffolding , can't complain. Painted at Beatherder and Moor fest, they where both weekends of total ink and booze fuelled madnes. thanks to everyone i drew and painted with was muchos fun, klose, phlegm, clumsy kate, 8 bit, the lml boys, sune, curse273, the best joined up gang, the look and listen monsters, michelle and dave, all the nutters from the green room, the trailor trash lot, and the rest of you mad people i met.
Unity day was alot of fun, glad the sun made an appearance, and we where out painting , representing our city, so respect to all the painters who kept it leeds that day instead of travellin to other jams goin on. i think on the only day your city pulls itself together you should be there helping too.
Best joined up starts again for its second year on september 26th, which you knwo is going to be a beast! simply be there if you can.
Traveling down to derby on the 6th of september for the subism and best joined up do. oi oi!
The exhibition i'm trying to put together is kinda falling apart as the organiser has changed and i don't think the new one knows how to work a phone.
Some of the best joined up affiliated artists are doing a group show out in barcelona , myself included. launch party and opening reception 15th november.
anyways sorry for lack of updates but the entire site will be down soon for a refurb! which will be nice!

update and happenings

hey guys been an insane few weeks, but an absolute blessing. since getting back from Brighton i was filmed and interviewed for a TV documentary to go out in August, exciting stuff indeed, i'm sure i'll come accross a right nobber, and it took alot for me to do it, i admit i really wasn't feeling it, but after meeting the cast etc they where all real nice, so it went ahead.

i've set up an exhibition in leeds to be done in a new york fashion, big open night free booze hot djs, rad art, that'll be going down in september. I headed out to the beat herder festival with Klose, Sune and the LML boys, we had a mad old time and have alot of tales and photos to share.
Also started painting a mural that will grow over the course of a month on aire street just by leeds train station, i'll out up photos when its done rather than a bit at a time, i'll be working on that every thursday till the end of the month. I'm heading to Edingborough on the 28th of july for some live drawing, and also to Kendall calling festival and Moor festival early august, and possiby outlook festival in croatia. and drawing at the xscape on the 16th. and breeth ergh. also loadsa new paintings to be uploaded soon.bloody madness like. hope you're all well best wishes as ever

Brighton and update

Hello there one and all. Brighton was amazing, was a great event to be drawing at and i met loads of fantastic people. big thanks to Bodie for sorting all the transport and the technicalities, Pinky and his missus for giving us somewhere to kneck that dangerous vintage rum after the event, and Sri for being either lovely or crazy enough to put us northern monkeys up for the night. You're all absolute bloody stars. Brighton is a great place, which is becoming a consideration for a place to live for a few months early 09. Iwill post some photos of the night when i receive them from proper photographers, as usual mine just come out flashes of blurry madnes. anyways best wishes

Hello there, this is the start of the new blog. My main man paul at Long walk home who runs my site has gone to India to spread love and work for a charity, which is lovely aint it,bless. So in the aim of keeping everyone in the loop of what i'm up to we got this little beasty running. so dates for the diary:-
June 15th 08- i'll be doing some live drawing in Brighton
July 13t 08- Live drawing in London, i assume at cargo but will have to confirm
July 4th-6th 08- Live painting and drawing at the Beatherder festival in Lancashire, madness ahoy, i'm sure.
July 28th 08- Live drawing in Edinborough, my first trip to Scotland.
August 7th-9th 08- Live paint and drawing at the moor festival Leeds.
August 16th 08- Live drawing at the Xscape party , at the Xscape indoor snow slope, beast!
